ABOUT LIBBY

Libby is no longer selling real-estate, she is teaching a class at The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, a continuing education program of the University of Delaware. She is also available for private consultation and is presently writing a book on Where To Go Next?


Libby Zurkow took Honors coursework in Economics at Wellesley while taking courses as an auditor at the Harvard Graduate School of Business. A Licensed REALTOR® since 1972, she is a specialist in Senior Decisions and Professional and Executive Relocation. She is a lifetime member of The Million Dollar Club of the NCCBOR and one of the first woman real estate developers in Delaware. Libby Zurkow's experience includes building Academy Place, a group of luxury townhouses facing Rockford Park.

Libby has been active in the volunteer community as a member of Hadassah, Red Cross™, Girl Scouts™, and co-founder of Housing Opportunities of Northern Delaware. She spent recent years teaching courses in Real Estate and Senior Lifestyle Decision Making at The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, a continuing education program of the University of Delaware. Because of requests from both students and guest speakers, she decided to offer the course "Where To Go Next?

HOND - HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES OF NORTHERN DELAWARE:
Libby was cofounder 30 years ago for this fair housing arm of HUD, that also provides housing


GIRL SCOUTS AND BROWNIE TROUPS:
In the 1950’S Libby led troops in the inner city of
Wilmington and integrated black girls into formerly all-white girl scout and brownie troops.


WELLESLEY COLLEGE:

As a 1946 graduate, she created and cooked for a fund raising program called “Dishes Delicious”.

HADASSAH:

Libby is interested in fund raising for all branches of Hadassah programs, particularly Hadassah Hospital.


RED CROSS:

Libby developed a new volunteer program for the Junior Red Cross called “Volunteer for a Career".


WHYY:

Libby developed a live TV Travel program originating in Wilmington that featured wine, food, politics lifestyle and the role of women in various countries.

MERCHANDISE RESARCH LABORATORIES:

Libby served as vice-president and co-owner of this company which provided quality control standards for Department Stores and Manufacturers. As part of the job, had a daily spot on NBC “HOME” show!
